Tami Alan Seriously Injured in Buena Park Car Crash on Auto Center Drive at Western Avenue

Buena Park, California (August 20, 2021) – Tami Alan was seriously injured after being involved in a deadly collision last week on Saturday in Buena Park, authorities said.
The deadly crash took place on Auto Center Drive at Western Avenue on August 14.
Police said Nathaniel Machado, 24, of Anaheim, was driving an SUV westbound on Auto Center Drive when he allegedly ran a red at the intersection with Western Avenue and hit a southbound Jaguar Sedan occupied by Keith Alan, 58, and his wife, Tami.
Deadly Crash in Buena Park
Alan died at the scene while his wife was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Machado and his passengers exited the vehicle and fled on foot. On Friday afternoon, Machado surrendered in court and was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, hit and run with permanent and serious injury, and reckless driving causing injury to a person other than the driver, all felonies.
Machado also faces sentencing enhancements for fleeing the scene of vehicular manslaughter and inflicting great bodily injury on the victim. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was ordered to return to court on September 24 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton for a pretrial hearing.
