Ronald Phelps II ID'd as Man Killed in Antioch Crash on Wilbur Avenue near Viera Avenue
Antioch, California (August 25, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who died early Wednesday morning following a traffic accident involving an all-terrain vehicle in Antioch as Ronald William Phelps II, 39.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Wilbur Avenue near Viera Avenue.
According to the authorities, Phelps was riding a mini all-terrain vehicle, possibly in the middle of the roadway, when, for unknown reasons, a pickup truck collided with him.
Man Killed in ATV Accident in Antioch Identified
Phelps died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup stopped at the scene and was cooperative, police said. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
Police shut down Wilbur Avenue for several hours during the investigation.
