Elderly Man Killed in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident on Ventura Road and Bay Boulevard
Oxnard, California (August 27, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Oxnard early Friday morning, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of Ventura Road and Bay Boulevard at around 3:55 a.m.
Police said a 2018 Ford Mustang was heading south on Ventura Road when it collided with a 76-year-old man crossing the road.
Elderly Pedestrian Killed in Oxnard Pedestrian Crash
The victim died at the scene following the crash.
The driver, a 20-year-old Oxnard man, reportedly left the scene but returned shortly after.
Authorities do not believe speed played a role in the accident.
The Oxnard Police Department is investigating the collision.
