Shawn Barbee Among 2 Killed in Glenn County Crash on Highway 45 near Highway 162
Glenn County, California (August 28, 2021) – Shawn Barbee of Idaho, has been identified as one of the two people who were killed in a Monday morning traffic accident in Glenn County, the CHP said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 6:15 a.m., on August 23, on Highway 45 just south of Highway 162.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Explorer Sport Trac, driven by Barbee, was traveling northbound on Highway 45. At the same time, Camerino Ramos Ortiz of Hamilton City, was headed southbound on the highway.
Barbee's Ford reportedly swerved into the southbound lane into the path of Ortiz's vehicle causing the two cars to collide.

Sadly, Ortiz and Barbee were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other parties in the Ford were hospitalized for treatment.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
