Major Injuries Suffered in Alpine Car Crash on Interstate 8 near W Victoria Drive
Alpine, California (August 30, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Sunday afternoon on a freeway in Alpine, resulting in major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident transpired at about 1:18 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 near W Victoria Drive.
Two vehicles collided, including a black sedan that also crashed into the center divider on the westbound side and came to a stop in the center divider of the eastbound side.
Authorities responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes.
The report said major injuries were suffered in the crash. The number of patients, however, was not mentioned.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
