, California (August 30, 2021) – A died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night in San Juan Capistrano, according to authorities.

The accident was reported at around 8:05 p.m. Sunday, August 29, on the (5) Freeway at the Pacific Coast Highway off-ramp.

Reportedly, the pedestrian was running from the right shoulder toward the center median of the northbound when he was struck by at least one vehicle.

The pedestrian, described as a Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s, was killed in the accident. He was not wearing a shirt and had blue pants, police said.

All lanes were closed except the HOV lane and the No. 1 lane.
