Person Airlifted after Merced Pedestrian Accident at West 11th Street and S Street
Merced, California (August 30, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night at an intersection in Merced, police said.
At about 11:14 p.m. Sunday, August 29, Merced police officers responded to the intersection of West 11th Street and S Street to investigate the report of a pedestrian having been hit by a vehicle.
Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit by Vehicle in Merced
The officers arrived at the scene and found the injured pedestrian lying on the road. The patient was then airlifted to a Modesto hospital in unknown condition.
It was not immediately clear if the driver involved stopped at the scene after the crash.
No further details were immediately released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
