Man Killed in Dana Point Crash on Interstate 5 near Pacific Coast Highway
Dana Point, California (August 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Dana Point, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at around 8:05 p.m. August 29, on Interstate 5 near Pacific Coast Highway.
CHP said a man was trying to run across the southbound freeway from the right shoulder when he was hit by a Ford Explorer.

The pedestrian died in the accident. His name was not immediately released.
Traffic was stopped on southbound Interstate 5 for several hours as authorities investigated the incident.
