2 Injured in Fresno DUI Crash at Church Avenue and Chestnut Avenue

Fresno, California (August 30, 2021) – Two people were injured Sunday morning in an alleged DUI car crash at an intersection in Fresno, police said.
The collision, involving three vehicles, was reported at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, August 29, at the intersection of Church Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, according to the Fresno Police Department.
Authorities said a black Toyota Camry was traveling in the area when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and hit two other vehicles, including a van.
Witnesses told the police that the Camry driver was speeding prior to the collision.
Multi-Vehicle Crash in Fresno Sends 2 to Hospital
The drivers of the van and the Camry were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators later determined that the Camry driver was driving under the influence at the time of the accident.
No other details were immediately released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
