The deadly pedestrian accident took place on State Route 37 near the junction of Skaggs Island Road.

According to the CHP, a vehicle hit the pedestrian for unknown reasons on State Route 37.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of family, died in the crash.

The crash caused the authorities to close eastbound lanes at State Route 121. Drivers were asked to seek alternate routes.
