At Least 1 Hospitalized after Newbury Park Accident on Highway 101 at Borchard Road

Newbury Park, California (September 20, 2021) – At least one person sustained minor injuries after a white Volkswagen Jetta, and a white Mercedes sedan crashed in Newbury Park on September 18.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site just before 1:58 p.m. on State Route Highway 101 (El Camino Real) at Borchard Road.
It was not immediately established how the accident occurred on the southbound side of the freeway.
The crash resulted in minor to moderate injuries to at least one person.
Officials affirmed that the unidentified victim received first aid treatment by paramedics before being taken to a local hospital for medication.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
