Fremont Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Warren Road in Hemet

, California (September 20, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision has claimed the life of a 52-year-old man early Monday morning near Hemet, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The deadly crash, which was reported at about 6:42 a.m., happened on southbound Warren Road, just south of W Esplanade Avenue.

According to the CHP, the 52-year-old man of , Bay Area, was driving a white Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Warren Road when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to cross over the double yellow line and entered the opposite lane.

The driver of a southbound semi- swerved to avoid the collision, but the left front of the Silverado hit the left front of the semi.

The CHP said both vehicles were traveling at a posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour prior to the collision.

The driver of the Silverado died in the crash. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

Both drivers were sole occupants of their respective vehicles.

The wreck left the roadway closed in both directions as authorities worked the scene.

No other details were available, but CHP is investigating.
