Woman Killed in San Jose Crash on Yerba Buena Road and Highway 101
San Jose, California (September 21, 2021) – A woman died following a traffic crash involving three vehicles in San Jose on Sunday night, according to police.
The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. September 19, on Yerba Buena Road and Highway 101.
Police said a woman driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Yerba Buena Road swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound Honda Accord.
The Accord was then rear-ended by another vehicle.
Woman Killed in San Jose 3-Car Crash
The driver of the Toyota was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Two occupants of the Honda were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The San Jose Police Department is investigating the incident.
