3 Seriously Injured in Santa Maria Valley Accident on Highway 1

Santa Maria Valley, California (September 21, 2021) – Three people sustained major injuries in a crash involving multiple vehicles in the Santa Maria Valley on Monday night.
The collision happened on Highway 1 between Black and Brown roads at around 9:30 p.m. September 20.
Authorities said one person was ejected during the crash.
3 Injured in Santa Maria Valley Multi-Vehicle Accident
Two people sustained major injuries and a third patient had moderate injuries.
The victims were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria and some of them were expected to be airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The collision caused a closure of both directions of Highway 1 as authorities investigated the collision.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
