1 Person Seriously Injured in Mission Valley Car Crash on Highway 163 near 8 Freeway

San Diego, California (September 21, 2021) – One person sustained major injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Mission Valley on Tuesday morning.
The accident was reported at around 9 a.m. on State Route 163 near Interstate 8, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An SUV is reported to have lost control, hit a roadside barrier and struck a black sedan traveling northbound on Mission Valley Freeway. Two other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The CHP said one of the drivers was seriously injured in the accident. No other details were provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
