Ysidro Pinon Injured in Deadly Adelanto Car Accident at Adelanto Road and Air Expressway
Adelanto, California (September 22, 2021) – Ysidro Pinon, 21, of Adelanto was injured in a deadly collision in Adelanto on Saturday evening, according to a report by the authorities.
The collision happened at Adelanto Road and Air Expressway at about 5:57 p.m. September 18.
According to the report, Pinon was driving a silver 2011 Ford Fusion northbound on Adelanto Road when he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and crashed into the side of a tan 1999 Chevy Tahoe operated by April Lyon, 41, of Adelanto.
The Toyota flipped several times following the impact and ejected Lyon.
Ysidro Pinon Hurt in Fatal Adelanto Car Crash
Pinon sustained moderate injuries in the collision but declined medical transport.
Authorities said Lyon died at the scene of the accident. Her husband and 6-year-old son were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident. They were both airlifted to Loma Linda University Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
