Arthur Starks Jr. ID'd as Man Struck, Killed by Several Vehicles on Long Beach (710) Freeway at Anaheim Street in Long Beach

Long Beach, California (September 22, 2021) – The man who died after being struck by multiple vehicles Monday morning in Long Beach has been identified as Arthur Starks Jr., 46.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. Monday, September 20, on Long Beach (710) Freeway at Anaheim Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities said Starks, who was homeless, was standing in the southbound lanes of the freeway under the Ninth Street Bridge when at least one vehicle struck him.
Starks was then hit by several other vehicles as he laid on the freeway.

Starks was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
After the collision, the involved drivers did not stop at the scene, but some motorists later contacted the authorities to give statements.
