Driver Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Roseville Crash on Fiddyment Road near Sunset Boulevard
Placer County, California (September 23, 2021) – A driver was killed and their passenger was seriously injured Thursday afternoon following a head-on collision near Roseville, Placer County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly crash occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Fiddyment Road, just south of Sunset Boulevard.
According to the CHP, a Honda was heading southbound on Fiddyment Road when its driver lost control and veered into the opposite lane.
The Honda partially collided head-on with a northbound Peterbilt truck.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated two occupants of the Honda from the wreckage.
Both the driver and passenger of the Honda were then taken to a hospital, where the driver later succumbed to his injuries. The passenger had major injuries.
Fiddyment Road was closed in both directions as the investigation and cleanup took place.
Authorities believed drugs played a role in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
