Donald Trozzo ID'd as Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Meridian Avenue

San Jose, California (September 23, 2021) – The man who died nearly one year after being involved in an auto-pedestrian crash in San Jose has been identified as Donald Trozzo, 68, of San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.
At about 8:35 a.m. on September 22, 2020, police said Trozzo, who was in a motorized wheelchair, had the ‘walk' signal when he tried to cross Meridian Avenue near Parkmoor Avenue in a crosswalk.
The wheelchair was moving slowly and the signal turned before Trozzo made it across the road. He was struck by a northbound Toyota Prius.

Trozzo was taken to a hospital, where he remained until his death on July 23rd, 2021.
The involved motorist stayed at the scene after the crash and cooperated with the investigators.
The collision remained under investigation.
