At Least 1 Killed in Watsonville Crash on Rogge Lane and Highway 129
Watsonville, California (September 25, 2021) – At least one person died when two vehicles collided head-on Friday evening at an intersection in Watsonville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The vehicles collided at about 6:14 p.m. on Rogge Lane and Highway 129.
Authorities received reports of a tan Toyota Prius and a white Ford pickup truck involved in the accident.
One person was trapped inside the Prius that was heavily damaged. The occupants of the pickup truck were able to get out of the vehicle after the crash.
CHP Investigating Fatal Watsonville Crash
Passersby were attempting to free the trapped party before firefighters responded and extricated the victim.
The report said at least one person was killed in the collision.
It was not clear if the other parties involved were injured.
Both vehicles were towed away for evidence.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
