CHP Investigating Davis Collision on 80 Freeway at Olive Drive
Davis, California (September 30, 2021) – At least one person was hurt following an alleged DUI traffic accident Wednesday evening, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The big rig collision happened on the Interstate 80 Freeway at Olive Drive off-ramp just about 7:30 p.m.
The CHP said the truck crashed with a black sedan on the westbound side of the interstate for reasons still under investigation.
Due to the impact, the sedan crashed into the center divider before striking multiple other vehicles.
A teenager sustained unspecified injuries following the collision. The juvenile and their mother were transported to Vacaville Medical Center for medication.
Officials said one of the involved motorists was intoxicated at the collision time.
The accident remains under investigation.
