59-Year-Old Compton Man Killed in Ludlow Crash on 40 Freeway near Crucero Road
Ludlow, California (October 2, 2021) – A man was killed in a semi-truck accident on Friday morning in Ludlow, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 3:46 a.m. Friday, September 1 on Needles (40) Freeway, just east of Crucero Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi-truck crashed into a vehicle that was stalled in the fast lane of the 40 Freeway.
Following the collision, the vehicle reportedly caught fire.

One of the drivers, only identified as a 59-year-old Hispanic man from Compton, was declared deceased at the scene.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
