Randall Peters Seriously Injured in Santa Rosa Crash on Highway 12 near Irwin Lane
Santa Rosa, California (October 1, 2021) – Randall Peters, 67, of Healdsburg, was seriously injured after being involved in a deadly head-on collision Wednesday morning in Santa Rosa.
The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29 on Highway 12, just east of Irwin Lane.
The California Highway Patrol said Horacio Vigil, 42, of Santa Rosa, was driving a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck on Highway 12 when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the opposite lanes, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet flatbed truck driven by Peters.

Peters sustained major injuries and was transported to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit as of Friday afternoon.
Vigil died in the accident.
The highway was closed in both directions for over three hours following the crash.
No other details were given, but authorities are investigating.
