79-Year-Old Woman Killed in Santa Paula Crash on March Street

Santa Paula, California (October 2, 2021) – An elderly woman was killed in an accident that occurred at the Vista Cove Nursing Home in Santa Paula on Friday night, the Santa Paula police reported.
The accident occurred as a 79-year-old woman was in a wheelchair riding in the rear parking lot of the facility located at 200 March Street.
The woman was struck by a slow-moving vehicle at around 7:46 p.m. October 1.
The impact ejected the woman from her wheelchair and she sustained major injuries.

She was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased. Her name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The involved driver stayed at the scene after the accident.
DUI was not suspected to be a factor in the collision, police said.
