1 Killed, 3 Injured in El Sobrante Collision on San Pablo Dam Road near Bear Creek Road

Contra Costa County, California (October 2, 2021) – One person was killed and three other people were injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash near El Sobrante in Contra Costa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at about 11:15 a.m. on San Pablo Dam Road, just north of Bear Creek Road.
CHP said a white Honda Civic was heading southbound on San Pablo Dam Road when its driver swerved on the shoulder to pass other vehicles.
For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the Honda, which veered into the northbound lane and collided with an oncoming red Toyota Tacoma.
Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash on San Pablo Dam Road
A passenger in the rear seat of the Honda died at the scene. The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Honda driver sustained major injuries while another passenger in the front seat had minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota also suffered minor injuries.
