At Least One Seriously Injured in Highway 101 Accident near 680 Freeway in San Jose
San Jose, California (October 3, 2021) – At least one person sustained serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened just after 2:44 p.m. Friday, October 1, on State Route Highway 101 near the Interstate 680 Freeway.
CHP said a gray sedan, a gold Honda Accord, and a third vehicle collided on the northbound side of the highway.
After the collision, the sedan and Accord became disabled in the slow lane of the road.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found at least one person suffering from major injuries. The name and condition of the patient at this time are unknown.
Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.
The collision remains under investigation.
