37-Year-Old Woman Killed, Man Injured in Downtown Los Angeles Car Crash on 10 Freeway near Santa Fe Avenue
Los Angeles, California (October 3, 2021) – A woman was killed and a man was injured in a downtown Los Angeles car crash early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Santa Fe Avenue at about 5 a.m.
The CHP said a 51-year-old El Monte man was driving a 2006 BMW 328i eastbound on the 10 Freeway when he struck a disabled vehicle.
Woman Killed, Man Injured in 10 Freeway Accident
A 37-year-old Baldwin Park woman, who was a passenger in BMW, was transported to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, where she later succumbed to his injuries. His name was being withheld pending notification of family.
The BMW driver was also taken to the same hospital with moderate injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
