Vladimir Gomez Killed in Hercules Car Crash on 80 Freeway near Highway 4
Contra Costa, California (October 3, 2021) – Vladimir Pineda Gomez, 28, has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as the Richmond man who was killed in a Sunday morning crash in Hercules.
The deadly collision was reported at about 1:25 a.m. on Interstate 80 Freeway near State Route 4, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Honda Accord is reported to have rear-ended a Toyota Yaris along the westbound lanes of the freeway. Both vehicles spun and the disabled Honda was hit by a Lexus RX350.

Gomez, who was driving the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people inside the Toyota and the Lexus driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
An investigation into the accide
