, California (October 5, 2021) – The elderly woman who was killed in an auto accident in Bakersfield last Monday morning has been identified as Maria Angela Morales, 72, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

The crash took place at around 7:30 a.m. September 27, on Comanche Drive near Sunset Boulevard.

According to authorities, Morales was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a vehicle heading south on Comanche Drive.
