1 Injured in Car Accident on Highway 70 near Yankee Hill Road in Butte County
Butte County, California (October 6, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a Tuesday evening collision near Concow in Butte County.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the accident happened on Highway 70 near Yankee Hill Road at about 7:34 p.m. October 5.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision. While the circumstances surrounding the collision were yet to be established, one of the cars is reported to have rolled down an embankment after the collision and caught fire.
Butte County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and rescued one person who was trapped in the vehicle.
The victim was airlifted to an area hospital with possible major injuries.
More information about the accident was not immediately provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
