Man in Classic Car Dies in Collision at Kiernan Avenue and Tully Road in Modesto
Modesto, California (October 7, 2021) – A 25-year-old man was killed in a Thursday morning car crash in Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 4 a.m. crash happened in the area of Kiernan Avenue and Tully Road, the police said.
The Modesto man was driving a classic 1973 Datsun coup westbound on Kiernan when he allegedly failed to slow down at a red light and rear-ended a stopped Honda sedan.
A short time later, another car failed to stop and crashed into the rear of the disabled Datsun.

The Datsun driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Doctors Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
