3-Year-Old Child Critically Injured in Bakersfield Collision at 24th Street and Chester Avenue
Bakersfield, California (October 11, 2021) – A toddler was critically injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield, police said.
The crash happened at about 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, at the intersection of 24th Street and Chester Avenue.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, two vehicles collided after one of the drivers ran a red light at the Bakersfield intersection.

A 3-year-old child, who was not properly buckled into the car seat, was taken to the hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
Police closed 24th Street from K Street to Chester Avenue for more than one hour as they investigated the scene.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
