Deadly Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 near Wild Wash Road in Apple Valley
Apple Valley, California (October 13, 2021) – A multi-vehicle accident that took place in Apple Valley early Tuesday morning left one man dead and two other people injured, according to California Highway Patrol.
CHP said at around 2:49 a.m. October 12, a 28-year-old Hesperia man was driving a 2019 Nissan at a high rate of speed southbound on Interstate 15 when he lost control and overturned just south of Wild Wash Road.
The Nissan was then struck by a southbound 2014 Toyota driven by a 72-year-old Forest Falls man. The Nissan was then pushed into the path of a southbound 2019 Infiniti driven by a 74-year-old Las Vegas man.

The driver of the Nissan, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene of the accident.
The operator of the Toyota was treated for minor injuries while the driver of the Infiniti was taken to Barstow Community Hospital with moderate injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the accident, CHP said.
The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
