Driver Injured in Coalinga Crash on Interstate 5 at 25th Avenue
Fresno County, California (October 13, 2021) – A driver was injured Wednesday afternoon in a traffic collision involving a pair of big rigs near Coalinga in Fresno County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 at 25th Avenue.
CHP said one big rig was traveling on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, it was rear-ended by another semi-truck.
One of the big rigs caught fire after the impact.

One of the drivers sustained a broken leg and was airlifted to a hospital. The name of the victim and their current condition were not immediately disclosed.
The second driver was not injured.
Motorists were diverted onto Highway 41 while the investigation and clean up took place.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
