Legend Girard ID'd as 1 of 2 Children Killed in Domenigoni Parkway Crash near Lindenberger Road in Menifee
Menifee, California (October 14, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office has identified one of the two children who were killed Wednesday evening in a traffic collision in Menifee as 1-year-old Legend Aries Girard of San Jacinto.
The tragic wreck happened at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, on Domenigoni Parkway, just east of Lindenberger Road.
According to the authorities, a Ford pickup truck and a Chevrolet pickup truck hauling a trailer were traveling westbound on Domenigoni Parkway when, for unknown reasons, the Ford side-swiped the Chevrolet.
The Chevrolet and trailer overturned after the collision, ejecting two children from the vehicle.

Sadly, the two children, including Girard, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, 18-year-old Logan Schell, was uninjured and was booked at the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of misdemeanour vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence. His bail was set at $7,500 and is scheduled to be arraigned in court in January.
Drugs and/or alcohol were not considered factors in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
