1 Seriously Injured in Rohnert Park Crash on Highway 101 near Golf Course Drive Off-Ramp
Rohnert Park, California (October 15, 2021) – One person sustained life-threatening injuries following a traffic collision involving a wrong-way motorist in Rohnert Park early Friday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened at around 4:45 a.m. on Highway 101, just north of the Golf Course Drive exit.
The CHP report states that a car entered the rightmost southbound lane of Highway 101 from the off-ramp and traveled northbound.
The car then collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the southbound driver who was trapped inside his vehicle. He was then taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The wrong-way driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No further details about the collision were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
