CHP Investigating Fresno Accident on Highway 99 near North Avenue
Fresno, California (October 16, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Fresno Friday morning, October 15.
The CHP said the crash happened on Highway 99 near the North Avenue on-ramp at approximately 9:25 a.m.
It was not immediately established how two semi-trucks crashed with two minivans and a car on the roadway in the morning hours.
The semi-truck flipped upon the impact, blocking all lanes of Highway 99.
Highway 99 Multi-Vehicle Collision
All involved parties were attended to by paramedics who responded to the scene shortly after 9:25 a.m.
The crash resulted in the closure of all northbound lanes for an unknown time and diverted traffic onto Chestnut Avenue.
The accident is currently being investigated.
