Rider Suffers Serious Injuries in Fremont Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 880 near Thornton Avenue Off-Ramp
Fremont, California (October 16, 2021) – A motorcyclist is nursing serious injuries after being involved in a traffic collision with a pickup truck Saturday afternoon in Fremont.
The California Highway Patrol said the rider was on a black Harley-Davidson and collided with a black Chevrolet pickup truck at around 5:49 p.m.
The incident happened on southbound Interstate 880, just north of the Thornton Avenue off-ramp.
The rider was reportedly splitting lanes when the accident occurred.

The motorcyclist was lying down in the No. 3 lane, and multiple parties were out of their vehicles standing in the roadway.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and closed all southbound lanes of the freeway near the collision scene.
The report said the rider sustained major injuries in the accident. An ambulance was sent to the scene to offer medical aid and transport the patient to the hospital.
No other details were available, but CHP is investigating.
