Eleazar Mejia Killed in Bakersfield Collision at Comanche Drive and Hermosa Road
Bakersfield, California (October 16, 2021) – Eleazar Rivera Mejia,32, has been identified as the Arvin man who was killed in a Saturday evening collision between a car and a big rig near Bakersfield, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The deadly crash occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Comanche Drive and Hermosa Road.
As per the CHP report, a Toyota sedan was traveling south on the highway when it drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on Freightliner driven by Sarabjit Singh, 24. The car then struck a pole.

Mejia was driving the Toyota and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
The southbound lane of Comanche Drive was blocked at Muller Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
