1 Seriously Injured in Concord Crash on Highway 4 near Solano Way
Concord, California (October 17, 2021) – One person sustained serious injuries following a traffic collision that happened Friday evening in Concord, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At around 5:20 p.m. Friday, October 15, CHP officers responded to eastbound Highway 4, just west of Solano Way, to investigate the report of a motor vehicle accident.
According to CHP, a Honda Accord collided with a sedan in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
After the impact, one of the involved vehicles went down an embankment.
Highway 4 Crash in Concord Sends 1 to Hospital
Authorities said one patient was taken to a hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
One of the involved vehicles sustained major front-end damage following the crash.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 4 were shut down for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
