Sacramento, CA: 2 Injured after Car Crashes into Store at Vinai Wholesale Market

, California (October 17, 2021) – Two people, including a pregnant woman, were injured after a car crashed into a store at Vinai Wholesale Market in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. in the 6968 block of 65th Street.

CHP said a white Toyota SUV crashed into the store for unknown reasons. The car got stuck inside the building, with the driver still trapped inside but uninjured.

A pregnant woman who was behind the counter of the store at the time of the accident complained of pain and needed an ambulance.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and evaluated the pregnant woman together with a second party who was also hit. The patients were taken to an area hospital for further treatment.

The outside window of the store was leaning up against the vehicle.

The firefighters drove the car out of the store.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the incident.
