2 Hospitalized after Smartsville Car Crash on Smartville Road and Loretta Lane
Yuba County, California (October 20, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a traffic collision that occurred Wednesday morning in Smartsville, a census-designated place in Yuba County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened at around 7:50 a.m. on Smartville Road, also known as Chuck Yeager Road, at Loretta Lane.
A silver 2005 Chevrolet Equinox and a white 1999 Jeep Cherokee collided, possibly head-on, for unknown reasons.
2 Seriously Injured in Yuba County Collision
Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists.
According to the report, two people sustained major injuries in the crash. The patients were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway remained blocked for an unknown period following the accident.
CHP is investigating the collision.
