Jacob Sutton, Cristina Shuwoy Injured in Calaveras County Accident on Pattison Road

Calaveras County, California (October 20, 2021) – Jacob Sutton, 26, and Cristina Shuwoy, 30, both of Wallace, were among several people hurt in a head-on collision in Calaveras County on Saturday evening, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. October 16, on Pattison Road near South Comanche Parkway.
CHP said Sutton was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla southbound on Pattison Road when he swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a northbound 2007 Ford Mustang driven by Benjamin Tosta, 32, of Manteca.
Tosta reportedly drifted to the left to avoid the collision but was unsuccessful.
4 Injured in Calaveras County Crash on Pattison Road
Sutton and Shuwoy, who was his passenger, sustained moderate injuries and were both flown to a hospital.
Tosta and his passenger, James Flores, 33, of Manteca, also suffered moderate injuries. Flores was airlifted while Tosta was transported by ground ambulance.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident.
The accident remains under investigation.
