Amber Chapman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Sanderson Avenue near Ramona Expressway
San Jacinto, California (October 23, 2021) – A Hemet woman was killed in a Friday morning multi-vehicle collision in San Jacinto, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The deadly collision happened on Sanderson Avenue near Ramona Expressway at about 6:45 a.m. October 22.
San Jacinto Sheriff's Station and California Highway Patrol officers, along with Cal Fire-Riverside emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene following reports of a three-vehicle collision.
The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.
Hemet Woman Killed in San Jacinto Collision on Sanderson Avenue Identified
The Hemet woman who was inside a black 2010 Hyundai Veracruz succumbed to her injuries at the scene. She was later identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office as 38-year-old Amber Chapman.
Three other victims who were inside the involved vehicles were transported to area hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
A stretch of Sanderson Avenue between Gilman Springs Road and Ramona Expressway was temporarily closed as the officers processed the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
