Aaliyah Girard Dies in Domenigoni Parkway Collision near Lindenberger Road in Menifee
Menifee, California (October 25, 2021) – The Riverside County Coroner's Bureau has disclosed the identity of a 16-year-old victim who was killed in a car crash in Menifee on October 13.
Aaliyah Girard, of San Jacinto, was killed in the wreck which also claimed the life of his 1-year-old brother, Legend Aries Girard.
The deadly crash happened on Domenigoni Parkway, just east of Lindenberger Road, at about 5:30 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol established that the Girard family were traveling in a Chevrolet pickup truck towing a trailer when their vehicle was sideswiped by a Ford pickup truck driven by an 18-year-old driver. Both vehicles were traveling westbound at the time of the accident.
The impact of the collision caused the Chevy to overturn, ejecting the two children.

Both minors were killed in the accident.
The Chevrolet driver sustained minor injuries and declined treatment.
Two other passengers in the Chevy suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Ford was unhurt. He was arrested and booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence.
Intoxication was ruled out as a factor in the collision.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
