1 Hospitalized after 805 Freeway Accident near Sweetwater Road in National City
National City, California (October 28, 2021) – One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning following a traffic crash in National City, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The major injury collision happened at around 8:21 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, on the 805 Freeway, just south of Sweetwater Road.
As per the CHP report, a white Ford Explorer collided with a gray Toyota Echo in the northbound lane of the freeway.
The Toyota sustained major front-end damage as a result of the crash.
Major Injury Traffic Collision in National City
One person sustained major injuries and was taken to the Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest. The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The northbound lanes of the 805 Freeway near Sweetwater Road were closed following the wreck.
