1 Hospitalized with Major Injuries after Highway 101 DUI Crash near Parkway Calabasas Off-Ramp in Calabasas
Calabasas, California (October 28, 2021) – One person was seriously injured in an early morning DUI car collision that happened on Highway 101 in Calabasas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle crash took place at around 3:27 a.m. in the northbound lanes near the Parkway Calabasas off-ramp.
A dually panel truck collided with a GMC 1500 van for unknown reasons.
The van was blacked out in the No. 2 lane after the collision.
Firefighters responded to the scene and closed the Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 lanes.
As per the report, one person was seriously injured in the crash. The patient was taken to an unknown hospital for treatment.
The van acquired major front-end damage, and the truck major rear-end damage. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
Authorities said alcohol or drugs were possible factors in the crash but did not give more details.
CHP is investigating the accident.
