1 Injured in Vacaville Car Collision on 80 Freeway near Cherry Glen Road On-Ramp

Vacaville, California (October 31, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after a Saturday afternoon car collision that happened in Vacaville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident took place just before 3:00 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just west of the Cherry Glen Road on-ramp.
A white Mini Cooper and a silver Toyota Highlander were involved in the accident.
As per the report, the accident was triggered by a red Chevrolet Camaro that was recklessly driving, getting in and out of traffic lanes, cutting in other vehicles and traveling at over 100 mph.
One person who sustained unspecified injuries was transported by Vacaville firefighters to David Grant USAF Medical Center for treatment.
No other details were given about the incident.
CHP is investigating the collision.
