Sheri Curzon ID'd as Woman Killed in Carlsbad Car Crash at Cannon Road and El Camino Real

Carlsbad, California (November 2, 2021) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Bureau has identified the woman who died Monday night following a traffic collision in Carlsbad as Sheri Lynn Curzon, 37, of Upland.
The deadly crash occurred at around 11:15 p.m. Monday, October 1, at the intersection of Cannon Road and El Camino Real.
According to a statement released by the Carlsbad Police Department, Curzon was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero eastbound on Cannon Road when she failed to stop for a red light at Camino Real and was hit by a 2006 Acura that was traveling northbound El Camino Real.
Curzon's vehicle rolled over after the impact.
Victim in Deadly Carlsbad Car Collision Identified
Curzon was declared deceased at the scene. She was the sole occupant of her vehicle, police said.
The Acura driver did not suffer any injuries.
It is still unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision, which remains under investigation.
