At Least One Injured in Richmond Collision on Interstate 80 near El Portal
Richmond, California (November 2, 2021) – At least one person was injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic collision in Richmond, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at about 2:45 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near El Portal Drive.
First responders found two overturned vehicles. Details on what led up to the collision at this time are unknown.

At least one person was injured in the crash. The name of the patient and the extent of their injuries were not immediately available.
All lanes of Interstate 80 were blocked for more than one hour following the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
